FAQ

How long will I need to see a therapist for?

The number of visits will depend on your concerns and therapeutic goals. You will be working together at a comfortable pace, and Rosalind generally recommends several sessions to start with, depending on your needs. Sessions are generally 50 minutes.

Normal hours of business are

9am to 5pm weekdays, and other times by arrangement, at 27 Dell Parade, South Head Moruya

9am to 11am Mondays and 2pm to 7pm Wednesdays at Moruya Chiro and Wellness

How much does each session cost?

Your first session will last about 90 minutes, and the standard fee is $120.

Subsequent sessions will last about 50 minutes, with a standard fee of $90.

Pro rata fee is $25 for every 15 minutes after the first hour.

Classroom Readiness Assessment

This assessment is designed to identify immaturities in your child’s early development that contribute to learning and behavioural difficulties in the classroom, and includes a full listening assessment. You will receive a written report to share with other practitioners, and your child’s teacher, if you choose.

The standard fee for a Classroom Readiness Assessment for your child is $350. This will take about 1 1/2  to 2 hours,  include a written report and a follow-up parent interview.

Listening Assessments

You know your child can hear, but how well are they processing, or understanding, what they are hearing? This assessment will check for several aspects of auditory processing ability. It will take about one hour, and you will receive a written report that you may choose to share with your child’s teacher and other practitioners.

The standard fee for a listening assessment is $250, including the written report, and a short follow-up visit.

Circle of Security Parenting Workshops

Circle of Security Parenting is an internationally recognised program designed to help build family relationships, by understanding what your child might be trying to communicate through their behaviours. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

The standard fee for couples and individuals is $90 per session.

How do I pay?

Cash or Direct Deposit to be paid prior to commencement of your first session

What if I need to cancel my session?

When you book a time, that hour will be set aside just for you.  Therefore, if you need to cancel your appointment, please contact Rosalind at least 24 hours in advance of your session so that hour can be given to someone else in need. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee.

Can I make a claim under Medicare?

Medicare and Health Insurance rebates are not available. However, Rosalind keeps her fees low and affordable. You may visit as often as you like, with complete privacy, and your visits will not be recorded in the medical system.

Can I use a Mental Health Plan?

A mental health plan is not available. However, Rosalind’s standard fee is less than the normal gap after a Medicare rebate has been applied.
