Feel more confident as a parent, understand your child's behaviour, and build closer relationships.
Parenting could be the most important job you will ever have. It can also be the most challenging!
Perhaps you want to parent differently from the way you were parented, but aren’t sure how to do this?
Maybe your children are struggling with anxiety, depression, friendships, bullying, ADHD or other neurodivergent behaviours?
Since 2005 Rosalind has been supporting children with learning and behavioural challenges. Counselling can help to address a range of issues, helping you to create the family life you’ve always dreamed of.
I will not pathologise, label or diagnose your child. Rather, we will work together, helping you to raise children who are able to realise their potential to live happy and successful lives.
Holistic counselling and psychotherapy can help with:
- Anxiety, depression
- ADD, ADHD, dyslexia
- Neurodivergence
- Friendships, bullying
- Anger, frustration, defiance
- Screentime, digital devices

- Sensory and motor development
- Family transitions
All of these behaviours are bringing us a message.
Counselling with Children
Counselling with children is offered in a space where they can feel safe, seen, heard and understood, and are free to process whatever is worrying them.
Children are more open to learning when they are having fun, so sessions often include play, songs, movement, games, craft and therapeutic painting, depending on your child’s interests.
When they feel secure in relationship with others children generally:
- Do better in school
- Are more able to effectively regulate their emotions
- Have happier and closer relationships with their parents
- Form better friendships
- Enjoy improved health and wellbeing
Support for Parents
Before seeing your child I will ask to meet with you. This is your chance to tell me all about your child. I will ask about your child’s early years, particularly any shocks or overwhelming experiences. I will also ask you about their special gifts, and the joy they bring into your life.
Building a relationship with you is just as important as counselling sessions with your child. We are working together to create lasting change.
Experience shows that addressing the stresses and tensions in our own lives naturally creates positive change in those around us. Children’s behaviour improves, as if by magic!
Circle of Security Parenting Program
This internationally renowned parenting progam is designed to help you understand your children’s behaviours, and build closer relationships. Rather than offering strategies to manipulate behaviour, change is based on recognising the reason behind the behaviour, asking “What is your child really needing”?
We are social beings, and a safe and secure attachment during infancy and early childhood is the basis of all later development, including emotional regulation, the ability to respond to stressful situations, relationships and classroom success.
Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, heard and understood.
Sessions are available both online and in person at Moruya South Head.
- Understand the meaning behind those tantrums and meltdowns
- Build a closer connection with your children
- Learn alternatives to time-outs, “consequences”, withdrawal of privilege and other punishment-based strategies
- Raise securely attached children who are ready to learn
As one happy parent commented:
“Every parent should do this course”.
