Gentle Support to Help You Feel More Confident as a Parent

Parent coaching is a way of supporting you to become the parent you want to be.

At times, all parents feel unsure, overwhelmed, or at a loss about what to do next—and this doesn’t just happen when children are small.

Parenting Has Changed

In the past, many parents were surrounded by extended family—grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a wider “village” of support.

We learnt about parenting by being around others.

Today, many parents are raising children without that same level of support.

For some, the first child they care for is their own—which can feel like a very steep learning curve.

You’re Not Alone

Parenting can feel overwhelming at times.

You may be navigating:

  • lack of sleep
  • emotional ups and downs
  • financial pressure
  • a child who isn’t settling or coping as expected

You might have read the books, listened to advice, and still feel unsure.

If that’s the case, you are not alone.

What Is Parent Coaching?

Parent coaching offers a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s been happening.

There is no rule book for parenting—and every child is different.

Sometimes, just when you feel like you’ve found your rhythm, something changes.

Parent coaching helps you adjust, understand what’s happening, and find a way forward that works for your family.

Support That Works With You

I will listen, support, and work alongside you.

This is a collaborative process—not about being told what to do.

Together, we explore:

  • what’s happening for your child
  • how you are experiencing it as a parent
  • what may help things feel calmer and more manageable

Building Confidence in Your Parenting

Many parents carry a quiet, critical voice that makes them question themselves.

Parent coaching helps you:

  • build confidence in your parenting
  • trust your instincts
  • respond more calmly in challenging moments

You already have the capacity to support your child—sometimes it just needs space to grow.

Understanding Your Child’s Behaviour

Children’s behaviour can feel confusing and frustrating.

But often, behaviour is a form of communication.

Together, we gently explore:

  •  what your child’s behaviour might be telling us
  • what they may need in those moments

Creating a New Parenting Story

We all bring patterns and beliefs from our own childhood into parenting.

You may want to do things differently—but feel unsure how.

Parent coaching can support you to:

  • recognise old patterns
  • respond in new ways
  • build stronger, more connected relationships

Parenting in Today’s World

Children today are growing up in a very different world from previous generations.

What worked in the past doesn’t always feel right now.

Parent coaching helps you find an approach that feels aligned with your values—and supports your child in today’s environment.

Parenting with Presence

Being present with your child during big emotions can be challenging.

What may look like “attention-seeking” behaviour is often a child asking for connection.

When we begin to understand this, everything can start to shift.

As you learn to regulate your own responses, your child often becomes calmer too.

Who Is Parent Coaching For?

Parent coaching is for parents at any stage.

You might be dealing with:

  • toddler tantrums or teenage mood swings
  • emotional outbursts or meltdowns
  • anxiety or overwhelm
  • learning or school difficulties
  • bedtime or mealtime challenges
  • sibling conflict

Parenting at All Ages and Stages

Parenting doesn’t stop when children grow and leave home.

Each stage brings new challenges—from starting school to adolescence, relationshhips, and beyond.

Support can help you move through these transitions with greater confidence and understanding.

What Happens in a Parent Coaching Session?

Your first session is a time to share what’s been happening.

We will talk about:

  • your concerns
  • your child’s behaviour
  • what may be contributing to the difficulties

I may also gently explore:

  • your family history
  • your own childhood experiences
  • how you respond in challenging moments

This helps build a fuller picture so we can work together more effectively.

A Gentle First Step

Reaching out can feel like a big step.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

Sometimes, it’s enough to simply begin.

You’re Welcome to Get in Touch

If something here resonates with you, you’re very welcome to reach out.

We can start with a conversation and explore what kind of support might feel right for you and your family.
